The trashing of Brittneys Prom dress.

Tuesday morning we had a little fun. One of our favorite models Brittney agreed to trash one of her prom dresses. So we went hiking and found this very cool place. My assistants Boban and Drew had double duty. They were my Sherpas, packing in all our gear for the shoot over rugged terrain, and they also were the lighting technicians for the job. Drew working the reflector and Boban manning the remote strobe. They both did a great job (although Drew did end up on his butt a few times)! Brittney(the Haunting of Alice Rose post) was her amazing self, doing whatever it took to get the shot including sitting in ice cold water for about 30 minutes. Thanks Britt for always gettin it done and looking great along the way. Here are a few hi lites from the project, including this first image of yours truly shot by Boban with one hand while holding a backpack and standing on slippery shale in an inch of water. Not bad.
You can see all of the images and a cool slideshow of the shoot by clicking on the title link "The Trashing of Brittney's Prom dress" at the top of the page.

Cao' for now.

Amy and Martin's rainy wedding day.

It was a miserable rainy day Saturday, but it didn't stop us from capturing some stunning images thanks to the modelesque couple of Amy and Martin. It was our first time working in Ashbury Hall, Ani DiFranco's church. We had so much fun playing around with the great textures and natural window light. The wedding party was fun and up for anything we threw at them! Here are a couple shots from a great shoot with great people. Thank you to Amy and Martin, and your friends and family for letting us share your wedding with you. We had a blast! I love these shots taken in the basement of Ashbury Hall. All natural light was used.

This shot was taken with an off camera speedlight shot through a small softbox.

This shot is part of a series for these guys. They have jumping pictures taken all over the world!

This was metered for ambient room light. The couple was lighted by an off camera speedlight dialed down and zoomed in through a softbox.

FCI program for the PPSNYS

Tuesday was a fun night for the FCI team. We were honored with the opportunity to present a program for the Buffalo Chapter of PPSNYS. We put on an on location program on natural light photography at the beautiful Avanti Mansion. We had a great crowd(a few came all the way from Toronto, Canada) due in no small part to the beautiful and talented Liz from the Buffalo Jills Cheerleaders. Liz was working with a head cold and still did an amazing job for us. We had perfect weather to work with, and it seemed that everyone had a good time at our hands on outdoor classroom. The photo session was followed by a great slideshow put together masterfully by Snjezana. Finally the evening was topped off by a delicious dinner put together by the great Avanti Mansion staff. We want to thank Laurie Clark and her crew for hosting our event that went off without a hitch. There was a lot of last minute scrambling on their part because of a larger than anticipated turn out. Enjoy these few images of Liz followed by several shots of the PPSNYS members and the FCI team in action. You can see all of the finished photos I shot of Liz by clicking on the title header "FCI program for the PPSNYS" at the top of the page.

Thanks again to all that made this a great night for our team, Snjezana, Drew and myself.

About Us

My photo
I came from Croatia where I fell in love with photography very early. My first job was at a local TV Station which was also a photography studio. I worked as an on-air anchor and program manager. This is where I got into photography too. I came to America in May of 2000. I landed in Buffalo NY where I found a job and a husband at a photo studio. Jeff is a native of the Western New York area, growing up in Orchard Park. His photography career has taken him all over the country from New England to California with multiple locations in between, also including parts of the Carribean and South Florida.
